The Hanover Harvest Festival is honored to Spotlight volunteers that contribute
with many precious and greatly appreciated hours of time and financial resources.

We would like to let you meet our special volunteers, Toby and Jackie Heinz.

Toby and Jackie live next door to the family farm where Toby helps out with the extensive chore list.  Besides their pet rabbit, Diego, they have two adorable little girls, Payton, age 3 and Kayla, age 1.  The kids are sweet, fun loving and always on the move!

Jackie works in the accounting department for  Lymde Enterprises, Inc.  In her spare time she enjoys figure skating, volleyball and traveling.
Toby is  an operator for C.S. McCrossan.  He also is one of Hanover’s Firefighters.  If he has spare time, he enjoys bowling and farming.

Toby and Jackie have been working on the festival since it first began in 2005.  When Dave and Abby Peterson held the first meeting to organize events for the Harvest Festival, Jackie and Toby were there.  Without hesitation they said, "We'd like to organize a parade"!  They took care of all the details from getting units in the parade, putting up Parade Route signs to cleaning up after the Parade.  Not only did they take care of all aspects of the parade, but they have been there to help everyone else.  Toby comes to the meetings and when someone has a question, he is the first to ask, "What do you need?"  or  "I'll check into it and get back to you!"

To this day they just keep giving. They added the Waterball Fight to the Harvest Festival in 2006, and now to make our 5th Annual Harvest Festival something special to remember, they are planning the first ever "Miss Hanover" contest.

We ask Jackie if she is sure they want to do all this, and she looks at us and smiles as she says "It's no big deal!"  Well Jackie and Toby, for all of the residents of Hanover and the surrounding area, it is a VERY big deal, and we want to say a big – "THANK YOU" for all that you do!

For the past 2 years, Bob Hegland of Great Exteriors, has donated the Playhouses that were raffled off, and last year he included garden benches as well. Bob not only donates all the materials, but also donates his and his crew's time to build them - and when the day is over, he makes sure they are delivered to the winner.

Bob says he enjoys finding ways to support Hanover and this is one way he can do it. Bob is always creatively thinking about what else he can come up with to add to the raffle items. Bob also says, "It has been great fun getting involved with the different community projects. It really warms my heart to be involved with the community and be able to help in different ways. There are a lot of very wonderful people in our community and it has been fun being part of it. The amount of personal time that the volunteers donate is incredible. All of you have huge hearts and beautiful minds."
